Grand Vacation Rentals can accept credit card transactions on your behalf so you can accept credit card payments from your renters. There is no application, or application fee, or credit check required to use this service.

Please note that you can accept credit cards via your own merchant credit card account. You ARE NOT required to use the Grand Vacation Rentals merchant credit card services. It is an optional service offered as a convenience to our clients.

Processing Fees

If you choose to use the Grand Vacation Rentals Merchant Credit Card Services, there is a processing fee of 9.5% for every transaction we process on your behalf. This fee is in addition to the membership program fee, and compensates Grand Vacation Rentals for the additional credit card processing services we provide for you.

We do not accept credit card payment through Grand Vacation Rentals Merchant Credit Card Services for damage deposits (since when you refund them, there would be an additional transaction fee, and your renters would not get the full amount back. We only accept charges through Grand Vacation Rentals Merchant Credit Card Services for vacation rental, taxes, and fees.

Getting your own Merchant Credit Card Account

If you utilize your own non Grand Vacation Rentals merchant credit charge account or other payment method to receive payment for vacation rentals, we do not charge any processing fees, nor do we collect any monies on your behalf. You receive payment via your own merchant account. If you want to obtain your own merchant credit card account you may be required to fill out an application form, successfully complete a credit check, pay an application fee, pay a monthly service fee, as well as a processing charge for all transactions. When will you receive payment via the Grand Vacation Rentals Merchant Account system?

You will receive payment for the vacation rental by check, minus the processing fee, from Grand Vacation Rentals within 30 days after the actual rental occurs and is completed. Holding of these funds until services are rendered is a requirement of the merchant credit card account provider.

Monies collected prior to the rental occurring will be kept in a separate escrow bank account on behalf of the owners who utilize the Grand Vacation Rentals merchant credit card services.

Charge-Backs and Refunds

In the unlikely event that a charge-back request should occur, you will be charged a $50.00 chargeback fee. Grand Vacation Rentals will be charged this fee by the merchant account provider and must pass on the costs.

Should the renter prevail in a charge-back claim and receive a refund granted to them by the credit card company, the owner shall still owe the 9.5% processing fee to Grand Vacation Rentals on the total amount originally collected and the additional $50.00 charge back fee.

We do not handle refund requests from renters. It is the owner’s responsibility to handle these requests directly with the renter. Owners must have a written cancellation policy in place and available on the Grand Vacation Rentals booking system. Grand Vacation Rentals will not become involved in any rental disputes, refund requests or disagreements.

The processing fee of 9.5% will still be deducted on the total amount charged, even if the monies or a portion of the monies are refunded to the renter. In additional, a $20.00 administrative service fee will be charged to the owner for refunding the monies to the renter.
